Groups

Personal visits are at your convenience and comfort. Visits can be delivered in your home or at one of our sites. Visits are set up on a regular basis to suit family needs and schedule. We cover the High Prairie area including Big Lakes County and the MD of Smoky River. 

Stronger Together - In home support services improve child development, parenting skills, family life skills, access to resources, and basic needs...keeping families strong and together.  (0-17 years)

Good Start- In home maternal health and infant development services.

Brighter Futures- In home health and child development support. 

Programs and services offered in Big Lakes County, MD of Smoky River, and communities of Driftpile, East Prairie, Gift Lake, Kapaweno, Peavine,  Sucker Creek, Sunset House, and Whitefish.

Taming the Dragon

Early childhood development program designed to improve the social and emotional development of children in kindergarten / ECS.  The program helps children understand their feeling and appropriate responses to those feelings.  We cover happy, sad/lonely, afraid/shy, curious, angry, sorry and work to build your child’s emotional understanding, resilience and supports.  

Brighter Futures - Mental health, healthy weights and child injury prevention. (0-5 years) 

Good Start/Healthy Choices (0-1 yrs) - Healthy Choices, prenatal/postnatal information and support services. 

Stronger Together - In home support services improve child development, parenting skills, family life skills, access to resources, and basic needs...keeping families strong and together.  (0-17 years)

Prairie Parent Link Centre - Early childhood development, parenting, family support and developmental screening services. (0-5 years)

Nutritional Supports - 

Toy/Resources Libraries - 

Parents & Tots / Play & Learn - Parent-child learning through play groups. Available in all communities we serve. 

Baby & Me - Parent and Infant development and support group. Groups available in High Prairie, East Prairie, and Peavine. 

Lets Get Cooking - Monthly nutrition and cooking class. (By registration only)

Triple P Parenting - Parent skill development sessions to improve child development and manage behaviors. (Registration open)

Bright Beginnings- Parent-child  cooking group focused on letting your child explore their creativity through food.  

Free Play- A day for parents and children's to drop-in at their leisure and enjoy unstructured play time.

Community Gardens- A program for families to utilize the individual plots to improve your health and nutrition. 

Active Parenting- A 4 session parent education program that emphasizes positive discipline, mutual respect, and open communication. 

Off to a Good Start-a group for expecting mothers that offers 8-10 weeks of prenatal education. 

ASQ Clinic- Free one-on-one early childhood development screening and referral services.
